Robert Sinclair

The Robert L. Sinclair Education Center Dedication and Grand Opening took place on October 14, 2017.

 

Mr. Sinclair, a county native whose family roots stretch back more than 200 years in Fauquier, has served as the foundation's president since its founding in 2003.

 

He retired after a career as a teacher and principal in Fauquier County Public Schools. Mr. Sinclair also served on the county planning commission and as chairman of the Public Library, and as chairman of Fauquier's 250th anniversary committee in 2009.

 

Currently on display in the Sinclair Education Center is an extensive collection of local maps, photographs of some of Marshall's Main Street buildings during the 19th and 20th centuries, an assortment of the Anderson Family's personal effects, and some items from Dr. Anderson's medical practice.
