The library houses an extensive collection of materials documenting the people, places, and stories of Fauquier County.

Researchers will find:

• Detailed research files compiled by several local historians whose life’s work focused on Fauquier County

• Early land records, grants, and hand-drawn plats

• Historic maps and property records

• Family Bibles, marriage records, and genealogical files

• Store and business ledgers that provide insight into daily life

• Surname and place indexes dating back to the early 1700s

• A large photo archive from the Fauquier Democrat newspaper

Expert research assistance for local visitors and remote inquiries
